ONE HUMAN RACE...

Updated: Jul 13, 2021

God made from one man, every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place. (Acts 17:26)

In Genesis 1: 26-28, the Bible says that everyone comes from one source: Adam. We don't know the colour of this man's skin. In fact, it's possible that he has a medium skin tone, which would assist to explain how the other colours came out of him, but that aspect remains a mystery until we meet the Lord

However, What we do know is that the events at the Tower of Babel in Genesis 11: 3-9 forced people to migrate further apart, which may have resulted in the formation of linguistic groupings and migrations to other parts of the globe.

God continues to work across these nations and tongues to draw people closer to Him. Even though diversities appears to have started as a retribution for man’s sin, I believe it was part of God’s plan to add colours and beauty into humanity.

Do you realise that we have these differences in animals because God allowed it to develop naturally? We don't take offence at their differences; in fact, it makes us appreciate them even more. Different weathers and seasons are also elegantly enhanced throughout the face of the globe. There are over 6500 languages spoken in the globe today, and each one enriches the world with diverse cultures, tastes, music, and fashion in a very amazing way.

I personally speak 3 languages thanks to God. I can’t imagine not being able to speak more than one!, and as a matter of fact, I am looking forward to learn more in the future so that I can increase my ability to make more friends and, as statistics shows, improve my brain functioning.

The concept of racism stems from the belief that one is better or inferior depending on the colour of one's skin. This is both unbiblical and incredibly naive. Because it is immoral, it must be resisted. It's a justification that people  u to inflict their wickedness on their fellow humans. Because that is exactly what it is, it should be viewed as a total evil.

We are all God's image bearers, and any act of injustice against one of us is a sin that God Himself will divinely chastise

God created only one race but different shades of skin coloured people to adorn the whole earth. Jesus loves all and died for all and we will appear before Him one day, not as a white or black people, but as individuals and as a people of one race: Adam’s race.

After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and people’s and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes with palm branches in their hands and crying out with a loud voice “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!” Revelation 7:9.

We must look past the minor distinctions, such as physical characteristics, accents, positions, wealth, and so on, because they are all irrelevant.

You are challenged to step up and model what it means to live a Christ-centered, Spirit-filled lifestyle if you are reading this. A home divided will not be able to stand. It's past time to remind the world that we are stronger and more unified as a group than we are as individuals. We can defeat racism if we work together.

Shalom
